SPANISH GP - FREE PRACTICE #3 - RE-CAP & TIMES
A bad start to the last free practice session for Bottas, who suffered from electrical issues and a water leak after yesterday's sessions. Mercedes was forced to break curfew overnight in order to start fixing the problem. The team has converted back to an old-spec engine to avoid anymore issues.
Bottas did end up managing to get out during the hour long session and even set the 4th quickest time, just behind his team-mate, Hamilton. Bottas' quickest time was a 1:20.868 while Hamilton set a 1:20.595.
It was Ferrari who topped the time sheets, with Raikkonen up in first with a 1:20.214 and Vettel in second with a 1:20.456. Vettel encountered some mechanical issues towards the end of the session when he stopped in pit-lane, causing the Ferrari mechanics to have to run over and fetch the car.
McLaren managed a trouble-free session and Alonso was able to stay out and get multiple laps in after a horrid FP1 yesterday, where his engine failed after just 1 lap. Alonso finished FP3 in 10th with a 1:22.093, while Vandoorne finished further down in 19th with 1:22.853.
