Winter Testing Day 8 - Re-Cap & Times / Barcelona Test 2


The last day of testing gave Ferrari another chance to run the 'Halo' head protection concept. While some drivers are speaking out about not liking the design or saying they wouldn't use it, there is also a number of drivers who agree to it and say it offers a lot more protection and wouldn't mind using it in the future.

    Manor was delayed for most of the day due to mechanical issues, which meant less running for Rio Haryanto, who had already had limited running due to spinning out on a few of the previous testing days. However, at the end of the day he racked up 58 laps.

    Hamilton, who was running the Mercedes in the AM session, stopped on track right before the lunch break, causing a red flag. This was due to a transmission issue.
