Bahrain GP: Free Practice 1 - Re-Cap & Results
The F1 weekend in Bahrain has gotten to a start with Free Practice 1 and it was a Ferrari 1-2 as Raikkonen and Vettel took over the top of the time sheets. Sebastian Vettel was able to bounce back after reporting a loss of power in the beginning of the session and needing work done on his car.
Lotus brought back Jolyon Palmer for this session, replacing Romain Grosjean who is also celebrating his 29th Birthday today!
It was a hit and miss session for McLaren. Jenson Button who had an early spin due to his engine cutting out, was never able to get back out due to the team needing to take apart the car and change the battery pack. However, his team-mate, Fernando Alonso, finished the session in 7th.
Force India have been making improvements and are looking good so far this weekend. Sergio Perez finished in the 11th and is hopeful to score points this weekend after finishing 3rd last year after an intense race.
Lewis Hamilton fell victim one again to a very hot seat. It was not a good session for him or Rosberg as both finished outside of the top 10. However, it's very likely they'll be back in top form before tomorrow's Qualifying session.
