Chinese GP: Free Practice 1 - Re-Cap & Results

We're officially into the 3rd F1 week of the 2015 season and Free Practice 1 is now over so it's time to go over what happened.

Lotus gave Jolyon Palmer his first run of the season in place of Romain Grosjean. The young Brit won the 2014 GP2 season.

Shanghai International Circuit has one of the longest straights and Mercedes proved fastest on it.

Both Manor cars were on track and able to run in this session, which is good news for Will Stevens who was limited in Malaysia due to a fuel system issue.

Lots of lock-ups in this session, including Palmer, Massa and Sainz. Williams was running some new upgrades, but they did not end the session on top. It was a Mercedes 1-2 this time around and here are the rest of the times from the session.
