It was a super rainy start to the US GP weekend, with Hurricane Patricia moving in towards Texas from Mexico. Things were able to get underway, despite the weather and there was plenty to talks about.
Alexander Rossi is back with Manor-Marussia for the weekend and Lotus announced Jolyon Palmer as their second driver for 2016, alongside Pastor Maldonado. Maldonado was unable to run in this session due to a gearbox issue.
Both Ferrari drivers were given 10-Place-Grid-Penalties for multiple power unit changes & Will Stevens was handed a 20-Place-Grid-Penalty for the same reason.
Raffaele Marciello got to get behind the wheel of Nasr's Sauber in this session. It's been quite a while since the young Italian driver has got to take part in a Free Practice session, but he has been doing a fantastic job in GP2.
