The "Circuit Of The Americas" is located in Travis County, Austin, Texas and is F1's only US circuit as of currently. It opened just a few years ago on October 21st of 2012 and held its first race that year as well.
The circuit runs counter-clockwise and is 3.427 miles in length. It has a capacity of around 120,000 & has 20 turns. The race will run for a total of 56 laps.
In 2014, Nico Rosberg took pole but it was Lewis Hamilton who went on to win the race, while Rosberg finished 2nd. Daniel Ricciardo finished 3rd. Retirements included Adrian Sutil (Collision), Sergio Perez (Collision) & Nico Hulkenberg (Engine)
All three years that the race has been held at the circuit, the fan turn out has been great, always drawing in massive crowds. This year is expected to be no different.
