Day 1 of the second Barcelona test brought some new livery to the track with Sauber debuting their 2016 car and Toro Rosso revealing their official 2016 livery in the pit-lane prior to the start of the session.
Manor was mostly delayed until the PM session due to an oil leak. They weren't the only team to suffer issues either, as Fernando Alonso stopped on track with 1 minute until the lunch break, causing a Red Flag. During the PM session, Raikkonen also stopped, on the pit-straight, due to a gearbox issue which left him stuck in 8th gear. Haas encountered a fuel sensor issue which left Gutierrez stranded in the garage with only 23 laps completed. He was unable to go back out for the rest of the day.
