BRITISH GP - FREE PRACTICE #2 - RE-CAP & TIMES

    Sebastian Vettel led the second free practice session of the weekend, while Mercedes followed closely behind.

    The Ferrari driver clocked the fastest time of 1:27.552. Lewis Hamilton finished in second with a 1:27.739 and Bottas in third.

    Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo completed the top 5 with the Australian in 5th with a 1:28.408. His team-mate, Verstappen, ended the session without setting a time. The Dutch driver crashed into the barriers, bringing out the red flags. While he was able to get out of the car without any injury, his session was over early.

    Romain Grosjean, who had crashed pretty heavily in FP1, didn't even go out in FP2 due to the damage that his Haas had sustained. The team was unable to get the car ready in time for him to join the session. Meanwhile, Kevin Magnussen put in the 12th fastest time: a 1:29.617.

    The session couldn't end without one more spot of drama. This time it was Pierre Gasly. While the French driver didn't crash, he experienced a technical issue with his Toro Rosso and ended up stopping the car to the side of the track. He still managed to finish in 13th with a 1:29.831. Team-mate, Hartley, finished in 18th.

    Alonso, Hulkenberg, Leclerc and both Force India drivers also finished within the top 10.
