Brazilian GP: Circuit Preview

As we wind down to the end of the 2014 Season, it's time for the teams to prepare for the Brazilian GP. 

The "Autódromo José Carlos Pace" or "Interlagos Circuit" is located in São Paulo, Brazil. This is one of the more historical circuits and has been around since it opened in 1940. However, the first F1 race did not take place until 1972.

The circuit is 2.677 miles and is one of the shortest circuits on the current F1 calendar. The race consists of 71 laps. There are 15 turns and it runs Anti-Clockwise. It has a capacity of 60,000! 

The weekend has a very rainy forecast, with some possible lightning. Things are still planned to go ahead as usual, but we could definitely see some delays.

Last year's race, Sebastian Vettel started on Pole and won the race, continuing his winning streak. Mark Webber came in 2nd and Fernando Alonso in 3rd.

Retirements included: Charles Pic (Suspension failure), Valtteri Bottas (Collision damage) & Romain Grosjean (Engine failure)

Japanese GP: Circuit Preview

As we head into the next round of the 2014 season, it's time to take a look at the circuit the drivers will be racing at!

The 'Suzuka International Racing Course' is located in Suzuka, Japan and is the last race in Asia for the year. The drivers have already been to China, Malaysia and Singapore this year. Japan is their last stop in Asia before they head to the new Sochi circuit in Russia.

The Suzuka circuit originally opened in 1962, but didn't host it's first F1 race until many years later. The layout has undergone many different changes over the years and the current one is 3.609 miles in length and has 17 turns. It runs Clockwise and has a capacity of 155,000. That gives plenty of seating options for F1 fans!

The race itself runs 53 laps and is packed full of tight turns and quick corners. The tyre wear level is high, so pit-stop strategies will have to be planned just right in order for a good race result.

Let's just go over what happened last year.

Mark Webber, who announced he'd be retiring at the end of the year, started on Pole Position. Unlucky enough, he didn't win the race, but instead, it was his team-mate, Sebastian Vettel, who was continuing his winning-streak.

While Webber scored Second, Romain Grosjean found himself in Third, making the Lotus driver one of the main talking points at the end of the year.

Retirements included: Lewis Hamilton, Giedo Van Der Garde, and Jules Bianchi, all due to collision damage.

Singapore GP: Circuit Preview

Ready for Singapore? Are you heading there this weekend and wanting to impress your friends with details on the circuit? Well, let's jump straight into our circuit preview!

"Marina Bay Street Circuit" is the current circuit used for the Singapore Grand Prix. It's locared in Marina Bay, Singapore and was first opened in 2008, making it one of the youngest circuits on the calendar besides COTA (Circuit Of The Americas) in Austin, Texas.

Marina Bay, as it says in its title, is a Street Circuit. Street circuits are a bit more risky, but also entertaining in F1. This is also a night race, adding to the excitement and thrill of the weekend. The capacity is arounnd 82,000 - So you'll be sure to find the stands packed with eager fans.

Unlike most, this one runs anti-clockwise. It has a total of 21 turns and is 3.147 Miles in length. The race itself runs 61 laps. 

2013 Look-Back:

So what happened during last year's GP in Singapore? Well, we can't forget it! Sebastian Vettel started on pole and went on to win, continuing his streak of 1st place trophies. in Second was Fernando Alonso, who also offered a ride to Mark Webber after his Red Bull caught fire on the last few laps. In Third was Kimi Raikkonen.

Retirements included: Paul Di Resta (Accident), Romain Grosjean (Pneumatics issue), Daniel Ricciardo (Accident), and Mark Webber (Engine failure)

There was plenty of wheel-to-wheel race action and some great over-taking. We have no doubt that this year will be just as special!
