HUNGARIAN GP - FREE PRACTICE #2 - RE-CAP & TIMES

    Daniel Ricciardo continued to set the pace as he was once again the fastest of the pack. The Red Bull driver set a 1:18.455 to take the top spot in the second session. Former team-mate, Vettel, was close behind with a 1:18.638. Bottas, Raikkonen and Hamilton completed the top 5.

    Romain Grosjean suffered from more technical issues, which he suggested to the team was something to do with the suspension. Grosjean has had many problems with his Haas throughout the start of the season, most of them having to do with the brakes. He finished the session ins 18th, while Magnussen finished just one spot ahead in 17th. His car was being worked on in the earlier part of the session following Giovinazzi's crash in his car in FP1.

    Aside from Giovinazzi replacing Magnussen in FP1, Alfonso Celis Jr. also got to drive in the first session. He replaced Ocon at Force India.

    Despite finishing up in 4th, Raikkonen was unable to have a complete trouble-free session. He reported "No power" and stopped on the side of the track. The team tried to help get the Ferrari going again over the radio but it was no use. His quickest time was 1:18.755

    Pascal Wehrlein suffered from a huge crash, bringing out red flags. The German rookie was able to climb out of the wrecked Sauber without injury but was surely disappointed in the way his session was ended. Wehrlein missed the opening two races after injuring his back from a crash during the Race Of Champions.

    Palmer also crashed just before the chequered flag fell, causing more red flags. He was also uninjured, but not a good start to his weekend as he had also had an accident earlier on in FP1.

    Just when it looked like McLaren would have a trouble-free session, Vandoorne was told to bring his car back to the pits slowly with a possible issue.
