In the first practice session of the last race of the year, Kimi Raikkonen got off to an unlucky start when he encountered problems with his MGU-K. However, things did get turned around and he finished the session in third behind the two Mercedes drivers.
Roberto Merhi got back to Manor for the last race after Alexander Rossi had previously raced in Brazil.
