It was another good day for Mercedes with both drivers finishing in the top two with Rosberg up in front. The third spot in the session belonged to Sergio Perez, who had previously finished third on the podium in the Russian GP.
For Carlos Sainz, it wasn't the best session. He ended in 14th and had to park his car with only 30 minutes left in the session due to technical issues with his Toro Rosso. Team-Mate, Max Verstappen finished just ahead of him in 13th.
