Russian GP: Circuit Preview

After its debut last year, the teams once again head to Sochi for the circuits 2nd race in Formula 1. The "Sochi Autodrom" - also known as "Sochi International Street Circuit" is located in Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia and was opened September 21st 2014. It held its first race last year as well.

    The circuit has a total of 19 turns and runs Clockwise like most circuits. It's 3.634 miles in length and has a capacity of around 55,000. The race will run for 53 laps. Last year the weather didn't cause an issue. It was slightly cloudy but there was no rain.

    Also last year, Lewis Hamilton not only took Pole Position but also won the race, while team-mate, Nico Rosberg, finished in Second with Williams driver, Valtteri Bottas finishing in Third. Retirements included Max Chilton (Suspension) & Kamui Kobayashi (Brakes)
