Canadian GP: Free Practice 1 - Re-Cap & Results

At the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the weather was quite tricky to work around during the first day of the Canadian GP weekend.

Free Practice 1 ended up being a dry session even though clouds continuously loomed over the circuit, threatening to shed downpour.

Quite a few drivers spinning near the chicane areas but no major accidents. The track was a quite slippery due to the dampness. 

Mercedes dominated the top of the time sheets while McLaren faced more woes with Jenson Button missing the beginning of the session when his car wouldn't start.

Force India showed their pace is close when Nico Hulkenberg finished the session in 4th. Lotus also showing some improvement with Grosjean 3rd and Maldonado 8th.
